Job Brief:
As a Sales & Marketing Intern at Markeltree, you’ll play an active role in expanding our business development efforts through lead generation, networking, relationship building, and direct outreach. This position offers valuable, real-world exposure to B2B sales processes, marketing strategy, and professional networking opportunities within the tech industry.
This is an onsite internship — ideal for students looking to gain firsthand experience in business development and marketing within a growing software agency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Identify potential clients and business opportunities through research, cold calling, email outreach, and networking.
- Cold Calling & Outreach: Proactively reach out to prospects to introduce Markeltree’s services, schedule meetings, and build initial rapport.
- Networking & Event Participation: Attend local industry events, business meetups, and networking sessions to represent Markeltree and establish new business connections.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with prospects, partners, and industry professionals to expand the company’s contact base.
- Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to plan outreach strategies, assist in preparing presentations, proposals, and sales materials.
- CRM Management: Log interactions, leads, and opportunities in the company’s CRM system to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, market shifts, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities with a confident, outgoing personality.
