24six9 Dubai Chapter: Pitch Roast, AstroLabs Dubai
Our final one was the smallest, and it was also the most honest. We were invited to participate in the 24six9 founder community's Pitch Roast, where the founders of startups shared their idea and got direct constructive feedback from the room.
It took time; it was honest and practical. Each of the founders was experimenting on one question: How can I explain the problem and the product and why it's important in a way that can withstand questioning? Nothing but a good slide design and a good delivery can save an idea if it doesn't answer that.
Just being in that room for us made us think of all products starting out with an idea that has to overcome questions, customer reality, and execution. It also reminded us about the importance of holding to our founders. We've been there, too, and we know the value of a straightforward response.
